41 year old rich Aimee died drinking in #Boulder; ruined lives of 3 beautiful daughters and husband!

Dear Internet,

My daffodils are up in glorious splendor. The crocus's are coming to an end and the tulips are pushing up. The primrose are a trying. Last years Johnny jump ups are coming back and the lawn is turning green. Buds are on the tree. Yesterday it hit 80 degrees. The song birds are out chirping up a mate.

It is very busy in my back yard. Dave painted the deck for my 30th annual Easter Bar B Que...you're all invited. Today there will be raking the lawn and putting out all the lawn furniture, putting up a tent and getting some chairs. Then I have to go food shopping for 50 people. Maybe I'll do that on Friday.

I paid Dave in cash yesterday. He has a habit of getting drunk after I pay him and then he's worthless until he sobers up. He usually calls me drunk telling me he's ready to work. Or i'll go to pick him up and he's still drunk from the night before. I have to tell him each time, he can't work if he's been drinking......he usually insists that he sober. Oh boy. Dave is essentially homeless and alcohol has kept him that way. He can't stay sober long enough to put any kind of life together. Though, God knows he tries. He is one of those westerners who is capable at doing many different jobs. He's a good worker and honest. But alcohol and cigarettes are killing him and I expect one day he wind up dead on the side of the bike path like so many chronic alcoholics here in Boulder. I try to help some of these folks out but you have to have good boundaries with street alcoholics. They aren't boy scouts and some of them will rob you or get violent. I won't have anything to do with those types. But I am just hoping that one day, the message of hope will carry over to Dave and he will sober up.

Amie was a nice Japanese lady in her early 40's with 3 daughters and a husband. I say was, because she died last week in a drunk driving car accident near Cherry Vale road. Unlike Dave Amie had it all; 3 beautiful daughters and successful husband, nice house, new BMW. Yet Amie died not from a car accident as the news paper reported. ........Not even from drunk driving. She died from chronic advanced alcoholism. She couldn't get sober. It tormented her. She became a stay at home mom alcoholic who drove drunk with her kids, disapeared and was a complete wreck at the end.

But to me She and Dave are the same.........Aimee died and shattered 4 lives in the process. She couldn't do a thing about it. Dave is taking just a little longer to kill himself. His family won't have anything to do with him. His mom died here in Boulder two weeks ago and no one told him. That's because they didn't want a dirty old smelly drunk at the funeral to screw things up. But Dave doesn't see himself that way. He's in such denial about his condition. Amie wasn't in denial. She knew.......... but she still drank herself to death in a wealthy Boulder neighborhood.

This is a little weird. Yesterdays post came about as a free flowing stream of consciousness which I never do on this blog. It started out with "What has happened........ and the rest filled in itself. I had no idea or preconception about what I was going to write....... except to say it was prophetic. I must have received a psychic message because if you read todays news headlines:

(CBS) In a news report just days before the FBI arrested nine members of Christian militia group in Michigan on charges they were plotting an attack on police officers, local government reached out to the militia for help finding missing residents.

This is the same group who backed Tim McVe before he blew up Oklahoma. Also, there are cops all over the place with auto weapons in New York City and elsewhere in the USA.....looking for Ron Paul and Sarah Palin extremists who are planing synchronized attacks on America. I envisioned the bombing of the world trade Centers before came down and talked about it at least 5 times on TV before it happened. I don't want to see these things, I just see them. I am also pretty good at predicting the future in terms of trends, successful business ventures.

I have spent quite a bit of time this past year studying the New World Order crowd. They stem from a protestant fundamentalist Christian Charismatic belief that: Satan by controlling the Jews will bring about a one world government which will make us all slaves to the Devil.

I have personally seen this preached right here in Boulder. The movement is now so big that these folks pose a real threat again to Americans. Hitler actually used the same method to rally Lutheran Germany to exterminate the Jews. These are very very dangerous people. Colorado has a lot of them both on the right and left of politics. We have had them since the 1930s when the Ku Klu Klan numbered in the 10s of 1000s. The new world Order radio network is located right over in Johnstown

Apolitically, they see the government controlled by big banks and corporations who want to enslave us . The religion comes in when it is finally revealed that Satan himself is controlling the whole show. Only Christian warriors like the anti new world order people will save us from Satans grip. They will do this by killing all democrats, the president, the police, the military and the government. These are gods chosen people. They are as crazy as Alcaida.

Sarah Palin and the Tea Party

Dear Internet,

What has happened to civility? I am having a real hard time with Sarah Palin and her Tea party. These people are a little nuts. Who doesn't want affordable Health Care for all Americans? They don't. Who doesn't think minimum wage, Social Security, unemployment compensation, conservation projects, the FDIC, and Medicare are not good. The Tea Party and Palin hate all of it. So I ask my self , Who T F are these people?? They remind me of the autocratic Chinese. Very scary bomb throwing TimMcvey relatives. I sure hope the Secret Service, FBI and US Marshal Service have these people under surveillance. There's a bomb about to go off and when it does , the next one will be by these crazies. Forget about worrying about Osama for right now. Watch out for the mad Christian right and all of their unAmerican ideals. Seriously.

City of Boulder Channel 8 has HUGE turn around. It looks Great.

Okay. Today I will say something "nice" about the city government. Channel 8 has turned it self around and is now on the air playing shows 24 hours a day. After 30 years municipal channel 8 finally got a communications director who is making channel 8 "real". You know, for years they would play programs sporadically throughout the day and almost never at night. The management were not TV people. The new guy, Patrick Vonkeyserling is a former newspaper man has been very open to learn about what a good municipal access channel should look like.

Without much fanfare he as taken his city communications staff, channel 8 staff and started knocking out relevant weekly programming. The schedule is full all night long. No more boring text in prime time.

I have no idea what ran through the cities head in the last three decades when programming was rare and never at night. So this should satisfy council woman Crystal Gray, who , when ever we spoke would always lament " I wish channel 8 would get their act together." Well, they have and it is the result of common sense of city communications director Patrick Vonkeyserling.

Vonkeyserling is an approachable, a can do kind of person which is a rare quality amongst bureaucrats. .

There see! I said something nice. I don't think all of local government is evil and from the pits of hell. I am quite certain the Lord has been guiding channel 8s recent changes. Today begins holy week. It's palm Sunday and next Sunday is Easter which will officially start spring in my book.

Seth Brigham (aka capt. Underpants) officially announced today that he has retained the legal service of famous civil rights attorney David Lane. Lane comes with the full backing of the ACLU and other lawyers not only in his firm but other firms in Boulder and Denver. Lane has carefully gone over the violations by the Boulder City council of Seths free speech rights. When David Lane comes knocking on the cities door this is serious business and Lane will take it all of the way to the US Supreme court if necessary.

The Boulder council has had this coming for a long time. They have repeatedly violated citizens civil rights over the past decade. This all started back in in 2003 when they attempted to control free speech on public access tv. This is the dirty work of former mayor Mark Ruzzin come home to roost. This is retribution for the evil doings of former council members Robin Bohannan, Andy Schuthies, Jack Stoakes, Richard Polk and the notorious mayor Shawn Mcgrath. This is pay back for the scandalous Tony Perri and his cabal The Beeck sisters (BIFF), and attorney Barry Satlow who all repeatedly violated Seth's right to free speech. It has been the most notorious time in Boulder's history.

A Lane led lawsuit not only answers the council many attempts to shut Seth up, it answers the council attempt to shut up all citizens on public access TV. The current dastardly council members with works of suppression are the terrible Suzy Ageston, Ken Wilson, Macon Cowles, George K. and Mayor Susan Osborne.

A winning lawsuit by David Lane will provide the hundreds of thousand of dollars we need to further fight the city in future first amendment battles.

This council will have to be made to pay and suffer before they ever get the message. They will be forced to turn public access channel 54 back on and they will have to write a formal letter of apology to Seth. Six council members must resign over this. The punishment needs to be swift and harsh.

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

Snow, the sun, flowers, smoking and eating abstinately;

Dear Internet,

Two days ago we got slammed by another spring snow which was wet, thick and slushy. About 12 inches came down in my back yard. I say my back yard in north Boulder which is different than someones back yard in south Boulder. There they might have gotten 9 inches of snow since they are lower than we are. To my west 1/2 mile is the very foot hills to the Rocky Mountains and they would have received 14 inches. Drive two miles up a canyon into the foothills and there would be 18 inches of snow.

Well, anyway, I still have snow on my deck and all the talking about it here won't get it shovelled off so the sun can dry the wood and it can be painted later in the day. That has to happen before my Easter Bar-B-Que.

All of the crocus are up and crushed by the latest snow. It went from 67 to 30 in one day and dumped snow on us. But my daffodils are coming up, not damaged by the snow and are ready to bloom.......soon. The grass has been turning green for the last two weeks. Yep. Spring is here.

I notice the sun is now staying up longer. It gets dark between 7:00 and 8:00pm. I find myself not knowing what to do. Just a month ago it seems it was dark at 5:00 pm. But now it's light and I'm tired by 8:00 because I get up at 5:00 am or earlier. Though, I often take naps. Mornings are my best time.......my most productive time and it is important not to waste them which can easily happen.

Today is day 4 off tobacco. I want to stay away from that 1-3 cigarettes I've been smoking for the last year on and off. Today I feel pretty committed. Tobacco withdrawal is a real charge. Makes you bounce around a lot.

I am also trying to eat abstinately, by writing down my food, having portion control, counting calories, trying not to eat bread, cheese, sugar etc which trigger binge eating. Vegetables don't do that to me. Like, if I eat steamed broccoli and cauliflower, I don't have any desire to knock off a pizza directly after. Tell me I am the only one dealing with this??
